Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellation Rules

  • 48+ Hours Notice: Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the pickup time are eligible for a full refund (bank processing fees may apply).
  • Last Minute / No-Show: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup or failure to show up (“No-Show”) are non-refundable. The advance payment will be retained to cover the booking loss.

2. Security Deposit & Refunds

  • Holding Period: The security deposit is held to cover RTA fines, Salik (tolls), and damages not covered by insurance.
  • Refund Timeline: The deposit is fully refundable and will be released 7 days after the vehicle is returned. This duration is mandatory to allow late traffic fines to reflect in the RTA system.
  • No Deduction Policy for Active Fines: As per our strict policy, any traffic fines issued during the rental must be paid immediately by the hirer. The hirer is not entitled to ask for these active fines to be deducted from the security deposit later.

3. Late Return & Penalty Charges

To ensure fair availability for all clients, vehicle returns are monitored strictly:

  • Grace Period: A maximum grace period of 29 minutes is allowed for returns.
  • Standard Late Charge: Returns exceeding the grace period (more than 29 mins) will automatically incur a charge equivalent to 1 full rental day.
  • Strict Penalty: If the vehicle is returned late without settling the due payments, a penalty of AED 2,500 applies on top of the rental cost.
  • Debt Interest: Outstanding balances exceeding AED 5,000 are subject to a 2% daily interest charge until the total amount is cleared.

4. Early Return & Modifications

  • No Refund for Early Return: If the hirer chooses to return the vehicle before the agreed contract end date, no refund will be issued for the unused days. The rental rate may be recalculated based on the actual duration (e.g., changing from a monthly rate to a daily rate).
  • Mechanical Breakdown: In the rare event of a mechanical failure (not caused by driver negligence), a replacement vehicle will be provided. No refunds are issued if a replacement is offered.
